Preparation for the test QFA (saliva/urine)
- Use only the sterile containers
Urine
- Fast minimum 8 hours
- Bring your urine sample to the office within 3 hours (do not refrigerate)
- If you get up at night to go to the toilet, collect the first urine after at least 6 hour sleep (do not refrigerate). Collect your second sample after getting up.
Saliva
- Fast 12 to 14 hours
- Collect 3 ml. of your saliva no sooner than 30 minutes after getting up.
- Before taking your saliva sample:
- Do not eat or drink anything
- Do not smoke
- Do not brush your teeth
- Do not put on makeup (lipstick, lip balm,…)
- If you can reach the office within 30 minutes, you can collect your saliva sample at home. If not, you can collect it on the spot. To prevent oxidation, put your saliva sample in a 3 ml. syringe (you will get it at the office or you can purchase one in a drugstore).
- Should you have your menstruations, please cancel your appointment.
It is important not to take any
supplement, 48 hours prior to your test.
